The ThriveTN 2026 summit will be held in Chennai on January 24 by the Association of Indian Entrepreneurs (AIE) in association with the Consortium of Self-Financing Professional Arts and Science Colleges in Tamil Nadu. A press release said the summit will provide a deep dive into six emerging sectors such as Aerospace & Defence, Electric Vehicles (EV), Renewable Energy, Advanced Electronics, Shipbuilding & Marine Technology, Life Sciences, Pharma and Bio. Senior policymakers, industry captains, global experts and technology leaders will address each sector, highlighting growth trajectories, policy support, innovation opportunities, import substitution needs, investment trends, and future skill requirements. The release said that as part of its outcomes, 300 MSMEs will be identified and supported to develop import-substitution products across the six sectors. These enterprises will receive technology and innovation support from incubation centres in engineering and professional institutions, along with financial assistance from the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI). The initiative is aligned with national priorities of strengthening domestic manufacturing and reducing import dependence. About 3,000 students from arts, science and professional institutions will be adopted by participating companies for internships, skilling programmes and employment pathways, ensuring they graduate with industry-ready capabilities. Registrations are open through www.thrivetn2026.in and via the ThriveIND mobile application, available on the Google Play Store for Android users. Published - December 22, 2025 05:30 am IST
