
Teyana Taylor Explains What Really Happened in Viral Clip of Leonardo DiCaprio Discussing âKPop Demon Huntersâ at the Golden Globes
Trending on Billboard The hilarious video of Leonardo DiCaprio animatedly discussing KPop Demon Hunters with someone at his Golden Globes table is absolutely golden - but Teyana Taylor wants you to know that he wasnât talking to her. While guesting on The Tonight Show on Wednesday (Jan. 14) - three days after the award show - the star cleared up the misconception that her One Battle After Another costar had been poking fun at her for not knowing who the stars of KPop Demon Hunters were in a clip that had the internet in stitches this week. In reality, Taylor told host Jimmy Fallon sheâs been a fan of the hit Netflix film for a long time, because âmy kidsâ favorite song is âGolden,â so I was, like, really excited.â âI had to call Leo, Iâm like, âI wasnât asking you ...,'â she explained. âI knew exactly what K-pop was, because Chase [Infiniti] taught me. I was like, âYou canât be talking to me - were you talking to me? âCause I already told people you was talking to me.'â Hereâs what really happened, according to the singer-actress. âSo apparently, he had two KPop Demon Hunters conversations that night!â she said, laughing. â KPop Demon Hunters was just in his mouth all night. Iâm like, âWho else was you kiki-ing with like that?â Literally, thatâs how we kiki. So I had like a little friendly jealousy. I was like, âWho else are you chewing your invisible gum with?'â âHe donât even remember who he was talking to,â Taylor added. âYeah, it wasnât me. I knew exactly who KPop Demon Hunters was.â Both the Allâs Fair actress and KPop Demon Hunters won big at the Golden Globes on Sunday night (Jan. 11). While the former won her first-ever Globe, taking home the prize for best supporting actress thanks to her performance in One Battle After Another , the latter picked up best original song for eight-week Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper âGolden.â Taylor is also up for best R&B album at this yearâs Grammys for Escape Room , a track from which - âHard Partâ - she performed on Tonight with Lucky Daye.
