I’m Flying Aboard Artemis II In Feb! Here’s How You Can Snag A Boarding Pass Too For The Historic NASA Lunar Mission

By James PaulMashable India

Meanwhile, Apollo 1, the first crewed mission to land the first man on the moon, met with a tragic end as the mission never flew. In February 1967, the cabin caught fire ahead of the launch, killing all three astronauts: Gus Grissom, Ed White, and Roger B. Chaffee. Spaceflight has always been a risk. Only the bravehearts venture for the stars. Will you tag along? NASA is going back to the moon after 54 years in hopefully a significantly better political climate and collaborative space race with comparatively lesser budgetary spending and more compositional power and better gear. With the Artemis II mission, four astronauts will orbit the moon and prepare for the next crewed launch on the surface of the moon. Commander Reid Wiseman, pilot Victor Glover, mission specialist Christina Koch, and CSA astronaut Jeremy Hansen will board the Orion spacecraft and launch to the lunar destination by SLS vehicle. The 10-day mission will soon kickstart with preparations at full swing at the Launch Complex 39B in NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, Florida. Along with Wiseman, Glover, Koch, and Hansen, you too can fly aboard the Orion and make history. I got the boarding pass (below). You can avail one for you (or your loved ones, including your pet) by clicking the following link and filling out the details. The submitted names will be embedded in an SD card, which will be a part of the Orion spaceship. How cool is that? NASA is planning on rolling out the Artemis II rocket and spacecraft from the Vehicle Assembly Building to Launch Pad 39B at @NASAKennedy no earlier than Jan. 17. The four-mile journey will take up to 12 hours. pic.twitter.com/U4sAPzG5tJ - NASA (@NASA) January 10, 2026 Get in, we're going to the Moon. Our Artemis II closeout crew will be the last people to see @Astro_Reid , @AstroVicGlover , @Astro_Christina , and @Astro_Jeremy before their lunar journey. @NASAArtemis II is targeted to launch early 2026. https://t.co/nkhLryUMhZ pic.twitter.com/KcDFZfeFvr - NASA (@NASA) December 31, 2025 Pack your bags, we're headed for the Moon! 🧳 Sign up to send your name to orbit the Moon, carried inside Orion when the Artemis II mission launches in 2026. šŸŽŸļø Boarding passes available here: https://t.co/lwTxeVsncv pic.twitter.com/5OkjpKn8LO - NASA Goddard (@NASAGoddard) November 25, 2025 Cover : NASA
