Parents share delight as first babies of Christmas arrive

As the Christmas festivities were getting under way around the country, parents in maternity hospitals across Dublin were welcoming the newest additions to their families. Proud parents Kristin and Colm Concannon with their newborn son Ronan in the Rotunda Hospital in Dublin Baby Croía with her parents Jodie and Jeremy McMullan in the Coombe Hospital Baby Ronan was born in the Rotunda Hospital at 00.06am to parents Kristin and Colm Concannon from Kilbarrack in Dublin. Just a minute later in the Rotunda, baby boy David was born weighing 3.27kg to delighted parents Natalia and Constantin Simciuc from Tyrellstown. Across the city in the Coombe Hospital, baby girl Croía was welcomed into the world at 00.41am by parents Jodie and Jeremy McMullan from Kill, Co Kildare. Parents Ruth and Gary Kenna from Kinsealy in Dublin then celebrated the arrival of their son Tommy in the Rotunda at 7.09am weighing 3.7kg.
