
Gardaí questioning woman held over Daniel Aruebose murder
Gardaí are continuing to question a woman in connection with the investigation into the disappearance of Daniel Aruebose, the child who went missing in north Dublin over four years ago. Daniel Aruebose was three years of age when last seen The woman, who is in her 20s, was arrested on suspicion of murder yesterday morning and is being held at a Dublin garda station. She has had her period of detention extended twice while in garda custody since yesterday morning, first for six hours by a superintendent, then for a final 12 hours by a chief superintendent. Specialist garda interviewers are continuing to question her about the disappearance and suspected murder of Daniel and also formally under caution, and put evidence they have gathered in the investigation to her. The boy was last seen alive at his home at The Gallery apartments in Donabate in north Dublin over four-and-a-half years ago when he was just three years old. The woman was arrested on suspicion of murder and is the first person to be detained as part of the investigation which was upgraded to a case of homicide 11 days ago. She is still being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, but must be either charged or released later today.
