Border 2 Trailer Released: Sunny Deol Impresses In This Heartfelt Tribute To Indian Army, Air Force, Navy Officers

A sequel to J. P. Dutta’s 1997 film, Border 2 , is all set to grace the big screens on January 23, 2026, coinciding with the Republic Day weekend. Ahead of the film’s theatrical release, the makers of the film took to their official social media handles to share the much-awaited trailer, leaving the internet buzzing with excitement. Taking to the caption of their Instagram handle, they wrote, “A war remembered. A legacy continued.” As soon as the trailer was released on all social media platforms, netizens rushed to the comment section of the post to hail Deol’s performance. Following the journeys of an Indian Army officer (Dhawan), an Indian Air Force officer (Dosanjh), and an Indian Navy officer (Shetty), alongside Deol’s character. From their personal struggles to the challenges they face to protect the country against enemies during the 1971 Indo-Pak war, it leaves you wanting to see more. While many had doubted the VFX work during the teaser, which was released a month prior, the trailer seems cleaner. The background music gives you a boost and keeps you engaged, not to mention the dialogues recited by Sunny’s character invokes a sense of patriotism. Got goosebumps for real! Scheduled for a release on January 23, 2026, Border 2 is directed by Anurag Singh and co-produced by Bhushan Kumar and Nidhi Dutta. It stars an ensemble cast of Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, Diljit Dosanjh, Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Anya Singh, and debutant Medha Rana.
