AAP Delhi chief Saurabh Bharadwaj said he filed a complaint at the Amar Colony police station and provided the names of the suspects. | Photo Credit: File Photo Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Saurabh Bharadwaj on Saturday accused Delhi Police of dragging its feet over registering an FIR against those suspected of harassing women celebrating Christmas in Lajpat Nagar market days after the incident. “The whole world has seen videos of gundas (miscreants) heckling women celebrating Christmas. There were threats, abuses and intimidation. Later, an SHO visited the site of the incident, but no FIR was filed,” AAP’s Delhi unit chief said on X. “Today, I have filed a complaint at the Amar Colony police station. I have also given the names of certain men who could be identified in the incident video. If you don’t register this FIR, we will move court,” he added. The police had issued a statement on December 25, terming the incident a “minor and momentary verbal disagreement” between some individuals. Published - December 28, 2025 01:02 am IST
