Teddi Mellencamp is struggling amid her cancer journey. Three months after the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum said her stage 4 brain cancer was “gone,” her dad gave an update on her health. John Mellencamp “I do have a daughter that’s really sick,” the “Jack & Diane” singer said on the Jan. 14 episode of The Joe Rogan Podcast . “It’s not f--king fun. She’s got cancer in the brain, and she’s suffering right now.” Prior to John’s update on his daughter’s condition, Teddi had shared she was “in such shock” when doctors found “no detectable cancer” during her regular scans, but clarified her cancer battle was far from over. “I still need to stay on immunotherapy for another year,” the 44-year-old said during the Oct. 2 episode of her Two Ts in a Pod podcast. “I’m still in treatment.” She added of the future, "The way they said it works, it’s like one year, then two years, then at three years you’re allowed to be considered...in remission." Throughout her health journey, Teddi has been supported by many of her fellow Housewives, as well as her estranged husband Edwin Arroyave , with whom she shares kids Slate , 13, Cruz , 11, and Dove , 5. Plus, her dad received a special shoutout for how he has shown up for her since she was first diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma in October 2022, especially after she underwent surgery earlier this year. “It’s been 10 months since my brain surgery,” Teddi wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of John with her kids, “and I am so grateful to @johnmellencamp for continuously being there for me and my family the entire time.” She concluded, “Love you so much, Cougs. Thank you for everything” Since then, Teddi has not provided any major updates on her cancer battle, but she did share reflections about her year in a New Year’s Eve post, which encouraged her followers to “get those skin checks.” “2025 was not my year. Near-death has that effect on you,” she wrote on Instagram . “But as I close it out, I’m trying my best to be grateful for every moment that I’ve been blessed to have been given since.” “I’m not sure what 2026 will hold, but I know that I will never stop sharing with you the good, the bad, and the ugly,” Teddi added. “Being open and vulnerable helps me cope; and hopefully helps even one of you know you’re not alone in what life has you facing.” Read on to look back at Teddi through the years, including her most precious family photos.
