Pawan Kalyan on Monday said he founded the Jana Sena Party(JSP) as a regional party with a national outlook and that it was never intended to serve the interests of any particular caste. He said the JSP won elections on the strength of a collective ideology and a fighting spirit shaped by the suffering of the masses during the 2019-24 period. Addressing a meeting of newly nominated JSP leaders near Mangalagiri, Mr. Kalyan said the party should function strictly within the framework of the Constitution and refrain from aggression or the use of foul language against political rivals, as such conduct would not be accepted by the people. He said constructive criticism should be received with the right bent of mind and followed by necessary remedial action. The Deputy Chief Minister stressed that the coalition government should clearly distinguish itself from the previous regime and that concerted efforts were needed to achieve that goal. Mr. Kalyan said the police should be allowed to discharge their duties freely if the State was to progress in a peaceful environment and asserted that the government was committed to dealing firmly with those creating law and order disturbances. He exhorted JSP leaders to take differences within the coalition in their stride while working towards common objectives, and reminded them that their primary responsibility was to ensure development and take care of the welfare of the people. The Deputy Chief Minister suggested that the Polavaram project be named after Potti Sriramulu in honour of his supreme sacrifice, and said the JSP had secured 3,459 nominated posts so far, with more appointments to follow.
