A woman has been arrested in the US after a 25lb weight was allegedly hurled at a fellow gym-goer. Aralyn Martinez, 24, is alleged to have told the woman she would drop the weighted plate on her. Harris County Constable Precinct 4 said officers were called to 24 Hour Fitness in Spring, Texas , on January 7. The police said when deputies arrived at the gym they learned a female suspect had assaulted a complainant after she recognised the alleged victim as someone her partner was reportedly involved with. "The suspect was detained and identified as Aralyn Martinez." Gym staff had called 911 to report the alleged altercation, with a criminal complaint filed with the District Attorney's Office, according to The Sun . The Daily Mail reported that Judge Matthew Peneguy issued an order banning Martinez from possessing weapons and drinking alcohol. He wrote: "Facts giving rise to probable cause suggest that alcohol was a factor in this offense. Defendant must not use, possess, or consume alcohol. "This includes any food, mouthwash, or over-the-counter medication containing alcohol." She has also been told not to use marijuana or contact the alleged victim or be within 200ft of 24 Hour Fitness. Constable Mark Herman told Us Weekly her bond was set at $1,000 (£748) out of the 488th District Court.
