One of the most anticipated dramas of the year, Can This Love Be Translated? Finally premiered on Netflix on January 16, 2026, after much anticipation. Fans of the K-drama are currently over the moon, taking all social media platforms by storm. They haven’t stopped fishing about the plot of the show as well as the undeniable chemistry between Kim Seon-ho and Go Youn-jung, the leading pair of the show who essay the roles of Joo Ho-jin and Cha Mu-hee. Following their earlier pattern, the streaming giant released all 12 episodes of the show, all in one go. Well, I took it upon myself to watch the show so that you can decide based on our review if you want to dedicate your weekend to watching the show or not. Rating: 4/5 The show starts by showing us how Joo Ho-jin, a language interpreter who can fluently speak in Korean, Japanese, Italian, and English, and Cha Mu-hee, a struggling actress, get along during their trip to Japan. As the story moves forwards we see how Mu-hee gets busy shooting for an upcoming movie, where she essays the role of Do Ra-mi, a zombie. However, as she wraps up the shoot, during her last stunt, due to an issue, she falls from a height as her harness stops working. SEE ALSO: Can This Love Be Translated? Teaser: Kim Seon-ho, Go Youn-jung Give Love Language A New Meaning She wakes up from her coma, six months later, to know that she has received global recognition because of her horror-zombie film. As she gets back into the grind, attending talk shows and award events, she starts hallucinating about her Do Ra-mi terrorising her at very important moments, hinting that she suffers from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Things start escalating when Joo Ho-jin bears witness to all these moments during the shoot of her dating reality show Romantic Trip. While touring the world alongside Hiro Kurosawa, a well-known Japanese actor, Mu-hee and Ho-jin start bonding, unwillingly, trying to find a love language that suits them in the midst of misunderstandings. It is safe to say that the K-drama has ticked off all the stereotypical plot boxes, all the while trying to maintain a freshness about it. The romance lover in me, who had been craving a swoonworthy drama with heartwrenching moments, has been satisfied. From the background score to the OSTs, and not to forget mentioning the chemistry between the lead pair, is so beautiful that you unknowingly fall in love with everything the show has to offer. I would definitely love to watch Kim Seon-ho and Go Youn-jung in another series soon! Even the scenes of Mu-hee’s hallucinations are shot and edited in a way that you feel connected to her trauma. It certainly keeps you hooked to the screen. A special kudos to the cinematography team and editing team for perfectly capturing the scenes. It just leaves you in awe of everything the show has to offer. Apart from the leading pair, the...
