‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Season 2 to Be First Project Filmed at Manhattan’s Sunset Pier 94 Studios

Manhattan’s Sunset Pier 94 Studios has found its first tenant ahead of the studio’s opening later this month. Paramount Television Studios has signed the facility’s first lease to film Showtime’s “ Dexter: Resurrection ” Season 2. The series will take up 70,000 square feet, filming in two sound stages and occupying office space. “We are thrilled to bring the second season of ‘Dexter: Resurrection’ to Sunset Pier 94 Studios and its state-of-the-art facilities and sound stages,” said Drew Brown, EVP of production for Paramount TV. “Last season saw Dexter move to New York City - and now we look forward to following suit, gaining greater access to the region’s incredible creative talent, leveraging a competitive tax credit program and reinforcing our commitment to U.S. production.” Sunset Pier 94 Studios features 232,000 square feet of leasable stages, production support space and offices. Located on the West Side Highway, it also boasts views of the Hudson River.
