This would mark their second project together. The two had previously worked in the 2019 black comedy film Unda. Mammootty, as well as the production company, shared posts across social media platforms, announcing their collaboration. On Sunday, December 21, the Malayalam actor shared a black-and-white image featuring two revolvers and the names of the major people associated with the project. In the caption, the 74-year-old actor wrote, “Happy to announce my collaboration with #CubesEntertainments on our upcoming project, directed by #KhalidRahman." The announcement quickly caught fans’ attention and hinted at a high-energy action film, possibly something similar to the 2024 action thriller Marco, featuring Unni Mukundan. It was released in theatres on December 5 and received a positive audience response. Currently, the actor has Mahesh Narayanan’s Patriot, co-starring Mohanlal and Nayanthara, in the pipeline. The film has been shot in various locations, including the UAE, Sri Lanka, and parts of India. The remaining scenes will mainly be filmed in Kerala and the UK.
