His knock powered Delhi to a comfortable win over Andhra on Wednesday in Bengaluru. In addition, he paired up with young Priyansh Arya and a seasoned Nitish Rana as Delhi demolished Andhra’s bowling attack behind closed doors, at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. While Kohli’s match wasn’t open to general spectators, the BCCI shared a video of his knock on their domestic social media handle. The former India skipper appeared at his fluent best, smashing the Andhra bowlers across the park. One of his shots went like a tracer bullet as Nitish Rana, stationed at the non-striker’s end, dodged on time to survive a nasty blow. He brought up his hundred off 83 balls, controlling the chase with the assurance that has defined his career. This century was Kohli’s 58th in List A cricket and his third hundred in just four innings since the South Africa series earlier this month. With his very first run of the innings, he also entered elite territory, becoming only the ninth player in history to complete 16,000 List A runs - and just the second Indian, after Sachin Tendulkar, to achieve the feat.
