Hans Zimmer To Score HBOâs âHarry Potterâ
Hans Zimmer and his Bleeding Fingers collective are set to score the HBO Harry Potter series. Zimmer, who has scored more than 500 TV and movie projects, has started work on the composition alongside the collective co-founded by Zimmer, Russell Emanuel and Steven Kofsky. They are taking on one of the biggest shows of this decade, HBOâs reboot of the JK Rowling franchise that made stars of Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson. The score is a big job, coming after the memorable movie music composed by John Williams, Patrick Doyle, Nicholas Hooper and Alexandre Desplat. Zimmer, Kara Talve and AnĆŸe Rozman said: âThe musical legacy of Harry Potter is a touch point for composers everywhere and we are humbled to join such a remarkable team on a project of this magnitude. The responsibility is something that myself, Kara Talve and AnĆŸe Rozman do not take lightly. Magic is all around us, often just beyond reach, but as in the world of Harry Potter , you simply must look for it. With this score we hope to bring audiences that little bit closer to it whilst honoring what has come before.â Watch on Deadline The Harry Potter series has its leads and is also set to feature the likes of Paapa Essiedu, John Lithgow and Janet McTeer.
