
Elevate Entertainment Signs Rampage Jackson & Producing Partner Joel Silverman
EXCLUSIVE: Elevate Entertainment has signed former MMA champion and actor Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, and his writer-director producing partner, Joel Silverman . Elevate will also represent their company, Rampage ‘n J Productions, in all areas. Jackson, a UFC Champion with a career mark of 38-14 and helped pioneer MMA’s growth into a worldwide sport, moved into acting and starred opposite Liam Neeson and Bradley Cooper in Joe Carnahan’s The A-Team (2010). He was also featured in films like The Midnight Meat Train (2008) with Cooper and Vinnie Jones. Jackson has built strong relationships with popular brands, which Elevate will continue to diversify and push forward. “We are thrilled to be bringing the talents behind Rampage ‘n J Productions into the Elevate fold. Prior to his film and TV career, he was an Associated Press award-winning police reporter, writing for dailies including The Washington Post. Rampage ‘n J recently shot the pilot for Rampage Jackson’s Resurrecting: Riddick , which Silverman directed and features Sean Penn. The production company’s development slate is highlighted by the action-drama Barney Ross , a story about the titular orthodox rabbinical student who, after witnessing the murder of his rabbi father, fell in with a young Al Capone and Jack Ruby. The infamous duo helped transform Ross into the fiercest fighter of his generation, starting on the streets, then as boxing’s first triple division champ, and later as one of America’s greatest war heroes, single-handedly winning a battle during WWII.
