SSC Issues Advisory, Urges GD Constable Applicants To Apply Before Dec 31 SSC has advised GD Constable applicants to submit forms early, warning of technical issues on the last day. The application deadline is December 31, 2025. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued an advisory for candidates applying for Constable (General Duty) posts in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and SSF, as well as Rifleman (GD) in the Assam Rifles Examination 2026. The Commission has urged candidates to complete their online applications well before the last date to avoid last-minute problems. Recommended Stories According to the official notice, candidates who wait until the final day to apply may face issues such as heavy traffic on the website, login failures or incomplete submissions. SSC has clearly stated that the application deadline of December 31, 2025, will not be extended under any circumstances. While the last date to submit the online application is December 31, candidates will be able to pay the application fee online till January 1, 2026. SSC has also announced that a correction window will be opened from January 8 to January 10, 2026, allowing applicants to make changes to their submitted forms, if required. Through this recruitment drive, SSC aims to fill a total of 25,487 vacancies. These include 616 posts in BSF, 14,595 in CISF, 5,490 in CRPF, 1,764 in SSB, 1,293 in ITBP, 1,706 in Assam Rifles, and 23 posts in SSF. Steps To Apply For SSC GD Recruitment 2026: Step 1: Visit the official website at ssc.gov.in. Step 2: Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) and create a login account. Step 3: Fill in personal and academic details and upload the required documents. Step 4: Review the form, pay the application fee and download a copy for reference. However, women candidates, SC and ST candidates, and eligible Ex-Servicemen are exempted from paying the fee as per SSC rules.
