Cashier breaks out some raw southern heft on debut single ‘Like I Do’ Cashier image via Olivia Perillo Cashier have released their new single ‘Like I Do,’ out now via Julia’s War Recordings, marking the first preview of the Lafayette, Louisiana band’s debut EP The Weight , due March 13, 2026. ‘Like I Do’ captures Cashier’s balance of immediacy and emotional force, built on driving riffs and commanding vocals that reflect the band’s heavy yet melodic approach. The track leans into a more straightforward rock structure while retaining the intensity that has defined their live sets, pairing momentum-heavy instrumentation with lyrics focused on uncertainty, connection, and emotional navigation. An official visualizer for the single, filmed during past tours across the U.S., accompanies the release. Bandleader Kylie Gaspard explains: “This one is more of a piece of generic rock. We kind of wanted to make our own version of that sound. The lyrics are very simple, just about two people figuring each other out, what feels right when you’re unsure of a scenario, and navigating another person’s energy.” ‘Like I Do’ is available now on all streaming platforms.
