The Raja Saab Worldwide Box Office Collection: Prabhas Struggles To Reach Rs 200 Crore, Lags Behind Adipurush

Ever since his Baahubali franchise era concluded, Prabhas has struggled find his footing again at the box office, with the exception of Kalki 2898 AD. No matter which project he stars in, Bollywood or Telugu, the movies have failed to impress the audience. His recent release, The Raja Saab, too, has crashed and burned. Having started on an amazing note by making a blockbuster collection of Rs 100 crore worldwide on its opening day on Friday, the movie has become one of the biggest box office bombs in just a week of its release. It is struggling to even reach the Rs 200 crore mark at the global box office. Having failed its Monday test, the movie even failed to revive during the Sankranti holidays. On Thursday, it made a collection of Rs 5.65 crore net in India. Still running in the theatres, the movie’s total domestic collection is Rs 130.40 crore net and Rs 156.50 crore gross. On the other hand, the Maruthi directorial has made a collection of $4 million in the overseas market. This has taken the movie’s one-week worldwide box office collection to Rs 191 crore gross. This has become a topic of worry in the industry, considering it was made on a huge budget of Rs 350-400 crore. For those who don’t know, the movie is lagging behind Prabhas’ previous flop releases, Adipurush and Saaho, which had earned Rs 300 crore worldwide during their first respective weeks. The Raja Saab is a horror-comedy featuring Prabhas, alongside Sanjay Dutt, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, Zarina Wahab, Boman Irani, and Riddhi Kumar. Directed by Maruthi, it is produced by People Media Factory and IVY Entertainment. The music is composed by Thaman S. It was released in theatres on January 9, 2026.
