Save Story Save this story Save Story Save this story If you’re anything like me, watching this new season of The Traitors has quickly taken you from “ Where is this filmed ?” to “Can I stay there immediately?” And as it turns out, the answer is yes. Well, sort of. With a setting fit for lies and deceit, The Traitors US —which just returned to screens for season four on January 12—unfolds in a 19th-century castle tucked deep in the Scottish Highlands . This northwest region of Scotland provides a dramatic backdrop, where lush green mountains and rugged terrain frame rising tensions. Beyond the castle walls lie centuries-old battlefields and historic clan lands, making the area rich in both activity and history. While the actual castle used in the show ( Ardross Castle , just outside Inverness) isn’t up for grabs, the Highlands are dotted with plenty of mysterious and intriguing places to stay nearby, should you like to cosplay as a Faithful or Traitor. Think chapel ceilings, round tables, sweeping staircases, and landscapes cinematic enough to make anyone feel like they’re playing the game. Set within formal landscaped grounds, the Gothic baronial castle was built in 1890, and is one of the last constructed of its kind. With large windows, a gorgeous kitchen, and carefully preserved period details throughout, it's perfect for a dreamy escape or extended Scottish getaway that feels every bit as noble, secretive, and cinematic as it looks.
