KCR responsible for injustice on Krishna waters: BJP

KCR responsible for injustice on Krishna waters: BJP

Hyderabad Vedire Sriram, former advisor to the Union Ministry of Water Resources and Adviser to the government of Maharashtra, held former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao responsible for ‘injustice’ to the farmers of TG regarding Krishna waters. In a PowerPoint presentation on Krishna water sharing between Telangana and AP, he said that true justice for Telangana regarding river water was possible only through the new Tribunal established by the Central Government. Later, BJP State president N. Ramchander Rao rebutted the allegations made by KCR against the BJP and the Central government regarding Krishna River water, including the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme (PRLIS). He accused KCR of using Telangana sentiments again for political gain after keeping silent for years. KCR’s attempts to insult the central government with deceitful propaganda and derogatory terms will not mask his failures, he said. KCR’s goal is to play “sentiment politics” without placing the actual facts before the people. Mr. Rao described KCR as an ‘OTP’ politician, which is relevant only for one-time use. By speaking about Telangana sentiments after betraying State’s interests, he has no takers, he said. Published - December 23, 2025 09:35 pm IST
