Boxing Day deals are here, with solid discounts from major brands on machines that suit everything from Uni and school, through to work or gaming. So if you missed out on Black Friday, now is the time to grab a bargain. Laptops are often great deals during the Christmas sales period, but the sheer number of choices available, not to mention inflated prices from some stores, makes it hard to spot the true bargains. As TechRadar Australia's resident laptop expert, I'm here to help. I've been keeping tabs on price changes across the entire year, so I can confidently tell you what's an actual good buy and filter out all the bad deals. If you’re not sure what model of laptop might suit best, I recommend reading our guide to the best laptops in Australia, which will give you an overview of the cream of the crop. It also includes premium features like an IR webcam for facial recognition and a large 16-inch, 120Hz, 2800 x 1800 OLED screen that boasts 100% DCI-P3 colour and a 500-nit brightness. Need a slim but still reasonably powerful laptop? The Yoga Slim 7i Aura features the new Series 2 Intel Core Ultra5 226V CPU, a compact 14-inch 1920 x 1200 OLED display, plus premium features like a facial recognition webcam and Wi-Fi 7. Want to know more? Check out our Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura review. This versatile 2-in-1 features the latest Series 2 Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor backed up by 32GB of RAM and a large 1TB SSD. The 16-inch (2880 x 1800) 120Hz OLED touchscreen display folds back through 360 degrees and works with the Lenovo pen (not included) for writing and drawing. You also get extras like an IR facial recognition webcam, dual Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports and a decently large 70Wh battery. That's a lot of laptop for the money!
