Your ebooks are now even safer

We originally stored all your DRM-free ebooks, digital comics, magazines, RPGs, manuals, articles, etc. with a cloud provider I signed up with before we launched Libreture in 2017. That provider was recently purchased by a company that has been swallowing up a number of small technology firms in the UK over the last few years. A few months ago, the new owners sent us notice that they were closing down their cloud storage product - the one where all the ebooks live. After looking around, and considering reliability, sustainability, costs, and pricing models, we settled on BrightBox . How it went BrightBox is an UK-based company with a solid technology foundation and a cloud storage product that is firmly tied in to their wider business - ensuring its future (as far as anyone can possibly guarantee). Ashley , The Developer , put together a system to migrate all your books from Libreture's old storage system to the new one. Everything worked beautifully, and all our libraries were successfully migrated to the new provider. Libreture was updated to use the new storage, and everything you upload from now on lives in a shiny new home. Some processes also seem a bit quicker. You may notice a speed bump when uploading your books or when they're processed and added to your library. We'll be keeping a close eye on things to make sure it is really working as expected, but so far, we're very happy with how it's gone and how it works. Let me know if you spot anything, of course.
