You can now buy e-books within the Storytel app

Storytel has announced that customers can now purchase audiobooks and e-books individually within the app. The vast majority of these titles are from major publishers such as Penguin Random House and Hachette. The titles can only be purchased in a few countries, such as Sweden, Denmark, and the Netherlands. “We’re thrilled to add these great English titles to our offering. These books have been highly anticipated and requested by our users for a long time. While all-you-can-eat streaming will remain our core business, we’re delighted to now offer users the option to purchase these premium titles individually, directly in the app. With these catalogue additions, we continue to solidify our position as a leading platform in the audiobook and ebook market, says Ronnie Hansen, VP Business Affairs at Storytel. Individual sales will supplement Storytel’s core streaming model to make more English-language audiobook content available. Regardless if you have a Storytel subscription or not, you’ll be able to purchase and enjoy titles from these publishers directly in the app. Titles will also be made available to purchase on storytel.com. Some examples of e-books and audiobooks that are available to purchase within their app are Harry’s memoir Spare, Dan Brown’s The Secret of Secrets, James Clear’s Atomic Habits, Schuyler Bailar’s He/She/They and Erica Ridley’s My Rogue to Ruin.
