Drug peddler escapes from NTR police custody, two arrested - The Hindu

The Task Force police conducted raid on a hotel and nabbed the three youth on Sunday (December 22, 2025) night. They handed over the accused to the Central Zone police along with 13 grams of MDMA. The Machavaram police took three peddlers - Rajesh of Nellore, Jagadish, and Akhil of Vijayawada - into custody, while Rajesh managed to escape from custody. “The accused smuggled MDMA from Bengaluru and checked into a hotel in the Machavaram area. We will produce Jagadish and Akhil in the court. A hunt is launched to nab Rajesh, and the remaining accused,” Central Zone Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) K. Damodar said on Monday (December 22, 2025). “Special teams have been sent to Bengaluru and Nellore to arrest the remaining accused of the gang,” the ACP said.
