
Nick Reiner Once Revealed How He Tricked Rehab Facility Into Giving Him More Meds Before Parentsā Murders
Nick Reiner once conned his way into getting prescribed drugs - INSIDE a rehab facility! During a 2016 appearance on the Dopey podcast, the troubled celebrity child, who has been arrested and charged with the murders of his parents Rob and Michele Reiner , opened up about his drug ploy - something he found āreally funny.ā This was during one of his rehab stints, he told host Dave Manheim : āThey refused to give me meds ... because they were like, āYou donāt need any meds,ā and I was freaking out.ā As weāve been covering, Nick had been in and out of rehab nearly 20 times since he was a teenager for his ongoing battle with drug addiction and mental health challenges. His battle led to contention with his parents and other family members , and at times, bouts with homelessness. But for the most part, he lived in Rob and Micheleās guest home, which he at times trashed in drug-induced rages . But for him, being refused only led to a frustrated plan to āprove [he] was crazy.ā Nick admitted: āI was like, āHow do I show these motherf**kers that Iām crazy?ā So I was like, āIāll throw a rock through a window.āā So, the Being Charlie screenwriter targeted a āmeeting roomā which had ābig glass windowsā - specifically because he āhatedā how important the area was to staff. He recalled: āSo I took a rock, and I started on the path, and I was going up this hill ... and I went, and I threw the rock through the window, and some woman saw me, and she ratted on me and then they put me on Wellbutrin.ā The now-32-year-old chuckled as he recalled the story, which got him exactly what he wanted. Wow... He was so proud after having manipulated the staff into giving him meds. Jeez. For those who donāt know, Wellbutrin is a prescription antidepressant commonly used to treat major depressive disorder (MDD) and to prevent seasonal affective disorder (SAD). In the weeks before Rob and Micheleās deaths, doctors had been changing his medication in an attempt to help stabilize his behaviors - only it had the opposite effect. Last Sunday, Rob and Michele were found dead in their Brentwood, California, home by their daughter Romy , 27. Hours later, Nick was arrested and, shortly after, charged with two counts of first-degree murder .
