T.N. Police Hackathon 2025 heldĀ in Chennai
The Tamil Nadu Cyber Crime Wing organised the T.N. Police Hackathon 2025 at Cyber Crime Wing Headquarters, from December 22 to 24. It was aimed at encouraging individuals working in the field of cyberspace to use their logical and coding skills in solving the policing problems. The hackathon featured the problem statement āTOR - Unveil: Peel the Onionā, challenging participating teams to develop innovative and practical solutions. The event was open to anyone who is doing a research in the field of cyberspace across India. The hackathon received an overwhelming response, with 346 abstracts submitted from individuals, colleges and researchers. Out of these, 73 abstracts were shortlisted in the preliminary round and out of which 52 teams participated in the final round. At the valedictory function, Additional Director General of Police, Cyber Crime, Sandeep Mittal emphasised the critical role of technology, innovation and collaborative problem-solving in enhancing technology-driven policing. The winners were presented with prizes by Additional Director General of Police, Economic Offences Wing B. Bala Naga Devi. The winner of the āTN Police Hackathon 2025ā was presented with memento, certificate and cash prize of ā¹3 lakh. The Society for Electronic Transactions and Security bagged the first prize.
