Two transgender persons were arrested for extorting ₹11,000 through a digital wallet after threatening a man near Vanagaram. According to the police, the complainant, Jagan, 30, a resident of Madurantakam, works as a driver for a car company in Chengalpattu. At around 3 a.m. on December 20, he parked his car below the Maduravoyal flyover to rest. At that time, two transgender persons approached him and snatched his mobile phone and transferred ₹11,000 from his GPay account to one of the accused’s account.
