Five arrested for possession of methamphetamine in K.K. Nagar

The Chennai police have arrested five persons in K.K. Nagar on charges of possession of the narcotic drug, methamphetamine. A total of 7.04 g of methamphetamine, five mobile phones, and two two-wheelers were seized from them. Based on a tip-off, a police team conducted surveillance on Tuesday (December 23, 2025) near the RTO Ground on Munusamy Road in K.K. Nagar. During the operation, five persons were questioned and searched on suspicion, and it was found that they had concealed methamphetamine intended for sale, the police said. The five accused - Aravind, 21, of Saligramam; Mugilan, 21, of Kodambakkam; Christopher, 19, of Ashok Nagar; Gunachandran, 21, of Kodambakkam; and Manoj, 19, of Ashok Nagar - were arrested.
