If you've never bought a gaming monitor or are trying to figure out what's worth an upgrade, you're bound to have a ton of questions about the appropriate size, resolution, refresh rate, features and more. Gaming monitor shopping is far more complicated than for other types of monitors, at least if you're like most of us for whom money really, really is an object. That's because you have to factor in the type of games you play and the capabilities of your gaming PC (or handheld's) GPU when calculating where to make tradeoffs when trying to save money. And with refresh rates commonly hitting 240Hz or more and OLED prices starting well under $500, you may find yourself asking "does it really matter for me?" more than ever.
