Harry Styles Is Back (With a Disco Album?)
Babe, wake up: HS4 is finally happening! After much speculation, Harry Styles is finally returning with his fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally . It’s a long, silly title after a long, silly wait-but we endure. It’s been four years since Styles released his Grammy-winning Harry’s House , the album that saw him call Madison Square Garden home for 15 nights in 2022. In the time since, Styles has partied at Berghain , run the Berlin marathon (in under three hours, mind you!), and watched the announcement of the new pope-in the flesh-at the Vatican. He’s also been matching with Zoë Kravitz on the streets of London, Rome, and New York whilst they romantically roam around in various ensembles from The Row. Not a bad hiatus, if you ask me. So, what shall we expect of this new era? For starters, it’s all very sentimental. In recent days, Styles has put up cryptic billboards in cities from São Paolo to Berlin with messages like “we belong together” (not a Wicked or Mariah Carey reference, I’m afraid) and “see you very soon.” HSHQ became a community rather than a social media update page, with a website inviting fans to join a WhatsApp chat. He’s also taken a liking to kitsch sunglasses, as seen on the album cover and in the promotional image (taken by frequent British Vogue collaborator Johnny Dufort ); in the former, he appears to be dancing beneath a disco ball in the twilight. Perhaps it’s time for us to put on our dancing shoes? The album, which will have 12 tracks and is exclusively produced by Styles’s longtime collaborator Kid Harpoon, will be released on March 6.
