What You'll Learn: How libraries around the world used EBSCO’s book platforms to power discovery in 2025. What topics and trends shaped collection development this year, from sociological themes to a surge in cryptocurrency-focused titles. How librarian engagement is actively shaping Mosaic and other EBSCO solutions, with global participation driving meaningful product evolution. Every year, libraries remind us why we do what we do. They are the heart of discovery, the champions of equitable access, and the stewards of stories that shape our world. At EBSCO, we are proud to support that mission, and 2025 gave us countless reasons to celebrate our shared love of books. Our annual wrap up infographic, EBSCO Loves Books: Our 2025 Story in Numbers , captures more than metrics. It reflects the curiosity of researchers, the passion of librarians, and the vibrant ecosystem of publishers, both large and independent, who work together to bring new voices to readers everywhere. Libraries, Books and Beyond: A Global Story of Discovery In 2025, libraries around the world turned to EBSCO book platforms to build collections that reflect their communities. Across GOBI Library Solutions, Mosaic by GOBI Library Solutions, and EBSCOhost Collection Manager (ECM), users conducted more than 3.2 million unique title searches, exploring everything from new releases to emerging academic fields. The GOBI profiling team evaluated more than 60,411 books, drawing from both print and e-book formats to ensure librarians had high quality, librarian curated information. Collections also became more flexible and accessible. Medical and DRM free collections were the most requested themes, and DRM free e-books continued to be the most downloaded format. Both trends reflect a shared desire among librarians and readers for a smooth and user-friendly experience. Connection Beyond Content: Celebrating the People Who Power Books Behind every search, profile, and purchase is a librarian making thoughtful decisions for their community. In 2025, we deepened our connection with these experts in meaningful ways. More than 4,500 librarians across more than 15 countries engaged with Mosaic, our next generation book acquisition platform, through webinars, demos, and focus groups. Their insights helped us refine features, improve workflows, and create solutions grounded in real world needs. There was also a fun and spirited side to EBSCO Loves Books! More than 4,000 stickers and 3,500 pairs of Mosaic socks found new homes this year. Laptops, water bottles, lanyards, and office hallways became joyful displays of support for library choice, book access, and dependable partnerships. Every sticker, every sock, and every conversation reminded us that the library world is...
