Republican Calls For 'Sin Tax' On OnlyFans Models -- But Fellow Christian Sophie Rain Fires Back: 'Conservatives Are My Top Spenders'

Grab your rosaries and ring lights, because Florida politics just wandered straight into the OnlyFans comment section. A Republican candidate for governor is making waves - and not the fun Miami Beach kind - by pushing for a so-called ‘sin tax’ on OnlyFans models living in the Sunshine State. And yes, it is exactly as judgmental as it sounds. James Fishback , who is running to lead Florida, sat down with TMZ this week and decided the biggest problem facing the state right now is women making money online with their own bodies. His solution? A whopping 50% tax on income earned by OnlyFans creators who live in Florida. According to Fishback, this isn’t about punishment, but about saving young women from themselves. Because nothing says compassion like taking half of someone’s paycheck. Related: Bonnie Blue Reportedly ARRESTED In Bali For Sex Stunt With ‘Barely Legal’ Guys! Fishback insisted that women on OnlyFans are not really choosing this line of work, but are instead being pushed into it by a corrupt, objectifying society. He specifically singled out wildly successful creator Sophie Rain , who reportedly earns millions per year, and suggested she’d be better off as a nurse, a teacher, or even a homemaker. (Because obviously those are the only respectable options available to women in 2026, right? Gag!) Anyway, the candidate went on to argue that this kind of online sex work is a new, disturbing feature of the internet age and not something America ever dealt with before. And if his proposed tax drives OnlyFans creators out of Florida? Fishback says good riddance, explaining he’d rather they leave if all they want to do is: “...whore around in Downtown Miami.” Charming! How very gubernatorial. Gotta love when politicians get involved in the OnlyFans game ... Fishback claims the money raised from this sin tax would be redirected into public education, promising higher teacher salaries and free school lunches. Hmmm. The proof will only come from the pudding there! Oh, and then there’s THIS : Fishback himself is no stranger to controversy. It has been reported that his company, Incubate Debate , previously worked with Broward County Public Schools before that relationship ended following accusations that he’d had an inappropriate relationship with a minor. He has denied the claims, but dude, WTF?!?! Maybe get your own house in order first before coming after the OF models... Related: Lily Allen Quit Her OnlyFans After David Harbour Breakup! Naturally, TMZ reached out to Sophie herself, and she did not hold back. The self-made OnlyFans millionaire rejected Fishback’s proposal and accused him of trying to stir up drama for political attention. While she usually avoids politics, this time she was not about to stay quiet. First, Sophie dropped this reality check: “Conservatives are my top spenders.” Mic. Drop. She went on to say that Republican politicians attempting to claim the moral high ground while privately supporting creators like her is, in her words: “Hypocritical.” And then she really brought it home with...
