
Rural Development Ministry to organise job fair in Puttur
The Rural Development Ministry, in association with various stakeholders, will organise a district-level job fair under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana in Puttur, Karnataka, on February 21. Dakshina Kannada MP Captain Brijesh Chowta and others released a poster about the job fair at the district consultative committee (DCC) and district level review committee (DLRC) meeting of bankers in Mangaluru on December 24. Various stakeholders, including the Karnataka Skill Development Entrepreneurship and Livelihood Department, Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat and Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha, have joined hands to organise the fair at Vivekananda Institute of Technology, Puttur. Candidates with SSLC pass and above may attend the job fair with 15 copies of their resumes and 15 passport-size photographs. Captain Chowta said over 80 companies and more than 150 representatives from enterprises are expected to participate in the fair to choose talent for information technology and software, production and automobile, banking, finance and insurance, retail and consumer service, construction and real estate, education, health, hospitality, and BPO sectors.
