Paus Leo XIV heeft tijdens zijn kersttoespraak van donderdag Oekraïne en Rusland opgeroepen om rechtstreeks met elkaar te spreken. De paus riep ook op tot “rechtvaardigheid, vrede en stabiliteit” in onder meer Libanon, Palestina, Israël en Syrië.
