
Cabinet okays ₹100-cr. fund for revival of water bodies - The Hindu
Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa addresses a press conference in New Delhi. | Photo Credit: PTI The Cabinet on Tuesday approved ₹100 crore for the rejuvenation of water bodies under the Delhi government, Mr. Sirsa said. “The rejuvenation of Delhi’s water bodies will play a crucial role in pollution control. The Chief Minister has directed that every possible financial support be extended to complete this work within the year,” Mr. Sirsa said. The Cabinet also approved the establishment of Delhi’s first e-waste park at Holambi Kalan. The facility spanning 11.5 acres will operate on a 100% zero-waste model and adhere to pollution norms. “This will be India’s first state-of-the-art e-waste park built on zero pollution and wastage principles. It will fully recycle and reuse water through an advanced recirculation mechanism,” the Minister said. Published - December 24, 2025 01:40 am IST
