25-year-old man hacked to death in Thoothukudi

A 25 year old man hacked to death in Thoothukudi in the small hours of Thursday. According to police, the deceased has been identified as K. Seenu, 25, a painter from Sathya Nagar in Thoothukudi. Polite allege that he was brutally murdered, reportedly over a comment made about one of the accused M. Kapil Dev’s family. Upon receiving the information, Thoothukudi south police rushed to the spot, recovered his body and sent for post mortem examination at Government Medical College and Hospital in Thoothukudi. Thoothukudi south police registered a case and arrested 10 individuals including two juveniles on Friday. The arrested persons are Kapil Dev, 25, M. Sakthibala, 19, S. Arul Raj, 19, M. Narayanan Navaneethan, 19, A. Jesuraja, 19, J. Mathiyazhagan, 19, J. Akash, 21, M. Mukesh, 20 and two juveniles who are 16 and 17 years old, all from Thoothukudi. Further investigations are on.
