What This Means For Passengers For long-distance travellers, the increase will mean paying Rs 10-30 more on average, depending on the distance and class. For example, a 500 km non-AC journey will cost approximately Rs 10 extra. While modest, the fare hike gives passengers a clearer idea of how the 1-2 paise per km increase will impact their travel costs. Click here to add News18 as your preferred news source on Google.
