Six intermediate students injured as bus overturns on NH44 in Mahbubnagar

Six students sustained minor injuries after a private school bus overturned near Balanagar on National Highway 44 on Thursday (December 25, 2025). The bus, carrying around 45 intermediate students of Sri Manikanta Junior College in Mahbubnagar, was en route to Jalavihar in Hyderabad. According to Jadcherla Rural police officials, two cars stopped suddenly in front of the bus, prompting the driver to apply emergency brakes. The bus then lost control and overturned. Local residents and police rushed to the scene to rescue the trapped students, who were taken to hospital. Six students sustained minor injuries and are receiving treatment, while the remaining students are reported to be safe. The bus belongs to New Rishi School in Mahbubnagar, police said.
