Dramatic moment US seizes ANOTHER shadow fleet tanker – as Trump to meet Peace Prize-winning Venezuela opposition leader

THIS is the dramatic moment US forces seized yet another Venezuela-linked shadow oil tanker in the Caribbean Sea. The coup comes as President Donald Trump is set to host Nobel Peace Prize-winning opposition leader Maria Corina Machado at the White House. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said that the Motor Tanker Veronica was operating in defiance of President Trumps established quarantine of sanctioned vessels in the Caribbean. She added that the ghost fleet tanker had “previously passed through Venezuelan waters”. U.S. Southern Command shared on social media that marines and sailors launched from the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford to make the capture. Noem’s post added that, as in previous raids, a U.S. Coast Guard tactical team conducted the boarding and seizure. She posted a brief video that appeared to show part of the ships capture. The action-packed footage showed helicopters hovering over the deck of a merchant vessel while armed troops shimmy down on ropes. The Veronica is the sixth tanker that has been seized by U.S. forces as part of the effort by Trump’s administration to control the production, refining and global distribution of Venezuela’s oil products. It is the fourth since tyrant Nicolas Maduro was captured in a surprise nighttime raid almost two weeks ago. The Don previously dismissed her credibility to run Venezuela and raised doubts about his commitment to backing democratic rule in the country. He said: “She’s a very nice woman. I’ve seen her on television. I think we’re just going to talk basics.” The meeting comes after Trump have indicated they would be willing to work with acting President and former Maduro vice Delcy Rodrguez, along with other members of the deposed leader’s inner circle.
