A Switch version of visual novel KANADE is now available for Switch via Nintendo eShop in Japan at a launch discount price of 1,584 yen, publisher Good Smile Company and developer Frontwing announced . It supports English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese language options. KANADE first launched for PC via Steam on June 12. Here is an overview of the game, via its Steam page : About KANADE is a visual novel planned and penned by Asou Ei, with character designs and illustrations by Yusano. Enjoy the romantic story of two former pen pals as they experience their first love in a world that is gradually approaching its demise. Story In the near future, a sudden proliferation of plants has left much of human civilization drowning in greenery. Yuuto is a boy living in a city that’s now largely reclaimed by nature. One day, a girl named Kanade appears on his doorstep. The two had been exchanging letters after she found one of his carrier pigeons. “I have to sing the greatest love song and save the world in my mother’s place. So, Yuuto-san... Would you please fall in love with me?” Warmly watched over by those around them, the two tentatively begin their exploration of love. What neither of them realize is that a spark of affection has already budded between them... Fall in love, make music, and save the world. This is the tale of a wondrous future where the encounter between a boy and girl brings a miracle to the world. Main Character Kanade (voiced by Yuko Natsuyoshi) - A half-human, half-alien girl who loves to sing. She hopes to save the world through song in place of her alien mother, who isn’t there to do it anymore. Honest, kind-hearted, and always polite, she puts her all into everything she does. However, her unfamiliarity with Earth as a half-alien sometimes shows itself in ways that surprise those around her. Key Features A script planned and written by the prolific Asou Ei ( euphoria , Kuroinu , and Sakura no Uta ), who previously penned Lilja and Natsuka: Painting Lies with Frontwing. A story that is accessible for new visual novel players. Character designs and illustrations by Yusano, who had also worked on ATRI: My Dear Moments and GINKA among other games. A heroine voiced by Yuko Natsuyoshi (Rio, Shine Post anime; Yuyu, Assault Lily anime), who also sings the opening theme of the game! A soundtrack by industry veteran Fuminori Matsumoto ( Wonderful Everyday Down the Rabbit-Hole ). An opening theme with lyrics by Yoshikazu Kuwashima, known for his work on vocal tracks for the Grisaia series. 1920×1080 resolution support.
