Pete Davidson & Elsie Hewitt Are ‘Over The Moon’ With New Baby Girl -- Details On Their ‘Whirlwind’ First Week As Parents!

On Thursday, the stand-up comedian’s girlfriend took to Instagram to announce the arrival of their beautiful baby girl Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson , whom they named after Pete’s late father Scott Davidson . While their first week with the adorable newborn might have started off with the extra stress of Elsie having to have a wisdom tooth removed , we’re hearing the pair are “obsessed” with their new family member. On Friday, a source told Us Weekly : “It’s been a whirlwind week, but they are obsessed with their baby girl and over the moon.” In her Instagram post, Elsie revealed they welcomed baby Scottie on December 12. And while they may have been city slickers prior to becoming parents, the source noted they’re now enjoying a more peaceful style of life upstate: “They welcomed her in New York. They want to raise her in upstate New York, where they have more privacy, normalcy, and it feels more suburban.” According to the insider, living upstate has given Pete “a lot of peace.” And while he’s now adjusting to living as the patriarch of a family of three, he and Elsie make a “good team.” The insider shared: “They have had their hands full and are still figuring out the parenting thing day by day. Pete is ecstatic to officially be a dad and has had a smile on his face since she was born. He was emotional when she arrived.” Awww. As for Elsie, she’s thriving in the early stages of motherhood: “Elsie has been having such a great week with baby Scottie. She’s feeling amazing and is completely in her element, already embracing motherhood in a way that feels natural to her. She truly feels she was made for motherhood. They are soaking in every moment and have so much love to give Scottie.” That’s so heartwarming to hear! And while the wisdom tooth fiasco may have added an extra hurdle in the early days of parenthood for the pair, Pete was right by Elsie’s side: “He has been so supportive, being there for every moment and making sure she has everything she needs.
