Inside Rob & Michele Reiner’s Final Dinner With Maria Shriver Just Two Days Before Brutal Murders - Perez Hilton
One week after Rob and Michele Reiner ’s horrible deaths, we’re hearing details about one of their final meals with a famous friend. Over the weekend, Tancredi DeLuca , owner of Italian restaurant Amici in Los Angeles, revealed to DailyMail.com that just two days before their murders, they dined with friend Maria Shriver at the establishment: “They were very good people, always very approachable and so very kind to the entire staff. We are all in complete shock. We are all saddened about what happened. They are very good people, very down to earth and always treated everyone here very well.” Related: Rob & Michele’s Daughter Romy ‘Lived In Fear’ Of Brother Nick ‘Since She Was A Child’ Truly still so difficult to wrap our heads around. We can’t even begin to imagine how Maria must feel... One minute she’s enjoying a meal with her friends, and the next they’re brutally murdered. According to staff, the trio dined on Amici’s winter special Sogliola Alla Mugnaia, a French dish which includes fish in a lemon-caper sauce served with pasta, broccolini, and roasted potatoes. According to the outlet, Rob and Michele were regulars at the restaurant, often dining on their favorite, the artichoke salad. But a much more chilling detail about the restaurant has much less to do with its food, and everything to do with its location. The high-end establishment sits across the Sinclair gas station, where security cameras recorded footage of Nick wandering the night before the murders. A day later, Rob and Michele were discovered dead by their daughter Romy , and Nick was arrested and charged with two counts of first degree murder . As we previously reported , Maria took to Instagram to pay tribute to her longtime friends, whom she raised her children alongside, following the tragic news: “I loved Michele and Rob Reiner. They were among my closest friends. We raised our kids together, from mommy and me on up. We laughed together, we cried together, we played together, we dreamed together. We had dinner this past week, and they were in the best place in the their lives: loving one another, loving their friends, their family, their country. They never gave up on our country. They wanted to make it better. They always, always wanted to make our world better, and they were willing to fight to make it the country they loved.” She continued: “I loved them, and I knew they loved me, for any friend like that is such a gift. They gave me and all their friends that gift all the time. They loved their kids so much, and they never stopped trying to be really good parents. My love is with their family. I’m so sad for them. I’m devastated, gutted, shocked, stunned, and so deeply saddened, as are...
