Mid-air chaos as drunk BA passenger tries to kiss cabin crew and yells 'I'll kill you' A prison sentence is very likely, the court was told. A 64-year-old man who had been drinking heavily on a flight returning to the UK tried to kiss a flight attendant, slapped his wife and yelled abuse at cabin crew, a court heard. Philip Gould, a married businessman, had been drinking vodka and wine on the British Airways flight from the Caribbean to Heathrow Airport on June 25, 2025. He had been on a luxury holiday in Grand Cayman with his wife when he slapped her and then abused the staff on board. When he was refused more drink, he propositioned a male flight attendant and repeatedly called the cabin crew "c****" before he flew towards the cockpit door and began shouting at the captain . At a hearing at Isleworth Crown Court, Judge Fiona Barrie warned Gould faces jail when the court meets for sentencing next month. "Cabin crew deemed his actions a serious safety issue so they positioned themselves between the flight deck door and the defendant," Ms Ettienne added. "The defendant pushed a cabin crew member in his chest with his arm, which caused him to stumble back and bump into a passenger." When he was told to calm down, this only aggravated him further. He screamed at cabin crew: "I'll kill you - there are not enough people on the plane to restrain me," before he slapped his wife and grabbed her by her hair. When a female flight attendant tried to intervene, Gould shouted at her, then stood up and put his arms around her. While doing so, he kissed a male flight attendant on the right cheek before nibbling on his ear. The prosecutor described Gould's escalating behaviour as "frightening" and said he became a "serious safety issue". Gould eventually fell asleep but was arrested at Heathrow when the Boeing 777 aircraft landed. Manny Arora, defending, said his client suffers from PTSD and was "remorseful", also telling the court: "He accepts he consumed some vodka. But when he entered the aircraft, he was not intoxicated". Gould, of Woking , Surrey, was granted unconditional bail ahead of...
