Trump's ally gives rare insight into US President's health - 'don’t know how he’s alive' Donald Trump eats "really bad food", a close political ally said. One of Donald Trump's closest political allies have given a rare insight into the US President's health. Health Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr discussed the US leader's eating habits on The Katie Miller Podcast when he was asked which member of the administraion has the most "unhinged" diet. Mr Kennedy responded: "The president. The interesting thing about the president is that he eats really bad food , which is McDonald’s, and, you know, candy and Diet Coke. He drinks Diet Coke at all times. He has the constitution of a deity. I don’t know how he’s alive, but he is." He said: "When he's at Mar-a-lago or at the White House, he's eating really good food. "If you travel with him, you get this idea that he's just pumping himself full of poison all day long and you don't know how he's walking around, much less being the most energetic person any of us have ever met. But I think he actually does eat pretty good food." Despite this, Mr Kennedy went on to maintain that Mr Trump is in "incredible" health , noting that his doctor said he had the "highest testosterone level that he’s ever seen for an individual over 70 years old". He added: "I know the president will be happy that I repeat that." Mr Trump's love of fast food, particularly McDonald's, is well documented. In 2024, he attended the McDonald's Impact Summit, telling attendees that his administration "only" serves food from the chain "almost every time" on Air Force One. In another podcast episode last year, Republican National Committee Chairman Joe Gruters expressed his shock at the amount that the president ate. Joining him on the campaign trail in 2024, Mr Gruters said Mr Trump had "hot fries waiting for him from McDonald’s. Then he had a Filet-O-Fish, a Quarter Pounder and a Big Mac". The US president also made a campaign stop at a McDonald's just outside of Philadelphia, where he worked at the drive-thru , handed out orders, and made fries. He recounted: "It was not that easy, but I got it sort of finally, not the greatest, but I was pouring it in, asking them all sorts of stupid questions, but it was very interesting."
